Douglas Holliston is a lawyer with an extensive background in Entertainment Law and Intellectual Property. A member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the New York State Bar Association, Douglas is a graduate of the National Program at the McGill University Faculty of Law. With over ten years’ experience in all aspects of film financing and production, Douglas has provided legal services for international co-productions, feature-length films, animation and television series.

Nick is a graduate of University of British Columbia majoring in Finance and Economics. He is a practicing chartered accountant with over 35 years experience and is a senior partner of N.I. Cameron Inc., Chartered Accountants, a firm based in Vancouver. Nick is a member of the B.C. Institute and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and a member of the Estate Planning Council of B.C. His other memberships include the Point Grey Golf Club, Jericho Tennis Club, the Vancouver Club and is he is also a member of the Vancouver Power Squadron. Nick’s community service includes being a former director and financial officer of the Canadian Mental Health, one of the founders and former director of First Night – A New Years’ Art Festival in Vancouver, former director of Carol Ships Parade of Lights Society and director of the Maritime Museum.

Wayne is a professional engineer with experience spanning four decades in environmental engineering, teaching, marketing, business development, external relations and sustainable development. At Vancouver based Westcoast Energy Inc. and Duke Energy Canada he held a number of senior management and corporate executive positions latterly as senior vice president, external relations. A director and past chair of the International Centre for Sustainable Cities, Wayne also held sustainability advisory roles with the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games bid and organizing committees and is a former director of the Family Services of the North Shore.

Fredrik Thorsen is a writer, director, and editor who has won seventeen awards since graduating from the University of British Columbia Film & Television program. In 1994, Thorsen founded Comet Post Production Inc., a successful, industry-leading post-production facility which provided state-of-the-art editing services for the international film and television industry for over 10 years. Fredrik most recent credit was editing Charles Martin Smith’s feature film Stone Of Destiny, for which he won the 2009 Leo Award for Best Feature Film editor.
KATARINA THORSEN, Youth Support Coordinator / Appointed, 2011

Our Youth Support Coordinator, Katarina Thorsen, has extensive experience working one-on-one and in group with at-risk youth struggling severe behavioural disorders and substance abuse issues. As an art therapist and youth outreach worker, she works intimately with support services such as probation, courts and social work, attending inter-ministerial case management meetings and coordinating community services for her clients. Katarina has a Bachelor of Science and her post-graduate studies included psychology, criminal profiling, restorative justice, special education and fine art. She provided community support for adult high-risk sex offenders at the Vancouver chapter of Circles of Support and Accountability from 2005 to 2006, provided art therapy and community outreach for young offenders at Burnaby Youth Custody Centre from 2006 to 2008 and ran a full-time art therapy program for 120 at-risk youth at Keith Lynn Alternative Secondary School from 2008 to 2011.
