How To Support Us

Intersections Is Looking For Used Computers!

We are currently working with six aging Mac editing stations, but we aspire to one day house eight Mac computers, each with the same state-of-the art software to provide a consistent learning experience with the most up-to-date technology. If you have Intel chip based Mac computers that no longer suit your purposes, we could make excellent use of them!

Donations

• $5 will buy a box of pens so that our students can take notes.

• $32 will buy one student lunch for one week during the program so they can focus on learning instead of hunger.

• $75 will pay for one student’s bus pass so that they can get to class for one term.

• $300 will pay for the editing software for one computer and contribute to the expertise of our students.

• $1299 will pay for one iMac so that our students learn with the technology tools they will use in their careers. (We are currently working with six mismatched editing stations, but we aspire to one day house eight Mac computers each with the same, state-of-the art software to provide a consistent learning experience with the most up-to-date technology.)

• $12,500 will put one student through a 16 week video production and editing workshop, which includes an 8 week industry internship. Participants earn an hourly wage for the duration of the program to reduce financial barriers so they can acquire new skills.

• $75,000 will change the lives of six youth in need and provide them with the employment and life skills necessary to succeed.

Prefer to help in other ways?  No problem, we need help in other areas too:

Referrals. Do you know a company or organization that could use help with a video or short film? We would love an introduction or referral.

Time/expertise. Are you a film/technology expert? Can you help teach essential life skills? Contact us if you can lend your expertise to our cause.

Speaking opportunities. We would love invitations to speak at events or inform the public about our organization and our success stories.

Internships. Internship opportunities are key to our participants building up their real world skill set. A great way to contribute is to have your company hire a program graduate as an intern. An 8 week commitment by your firm will make a huge contribution to the continuum of training for our participants. Call, or e-mail us, to find out more about our grads.
