Intersections Digital Media Workshop
BRIDGING YOUTH WITH OPPORTUNITIES TO ACHIEVE EMPLOYMENT IN THE BC FILM INDUSTRY

Intersections Media Opportunities for Youth Society (Intersections), a non- profit charitable organization, delivers the Intersections Digital Media Workshop a vital initiative that provides the essential skills, software training, industry certifications, on-location film making and mentorship opportunities with professionals to pursue entry-level employment in the film and digital media industry.
As the screen industry continues to grow, so does the need for a diverse and inclusive job-ready workforce.
The Intersections Digital Media Workshop is a hybrid (virtual and on site) training and mentorship program for youth (19 years to 30 years old) from diverse and equity-deserving communities: Indigenous, Black, and other racialized groups, newcomers, LGBTQ2+ individuals, persons with disabilities, and women.
Intersections Digital Media Workshop, established in 2009 continues to play a critical role in addressing these inequities providing targeted support to provide youth with the skills, knowledge, and connections needed to access entry-level roles in film, television, and digital media—helping to build a more diverse, inclusive, and representative workforce in BC.'s creative economy.
