Post Management
The Post Management team is in charge of the entire post production umbrella from prep until delivery to the network/studio. They manage the post budget and delivery schedule, as well as oversee the creative vision and quality of the project.

Dailies
This is the processing of Original Camera Master “Dailies” files from set to add a look or LUT information to selected takes, sync sound files, and then process proxies for editorial and production review.

Postproduction Editing
The Editing Department assembles shot footage into a rough assembly and using complex editing software in an office setting, brings the final story together in a coherent narrative that fulfills the director’s vision. Editing roles can found at a post-production facility, or can be freelance positions, either union or non-union.

Postproduction Audio
Post audio is divided into 2 stages: editing and mixing. During the editing process sounds are created, recorded, edited and refined. After all sounds have been created, the mixing process starts which takes on the task of bringing all the elements of the soundtrack together and define volume levels, add effects to blend the elements within the environment and balance the overall soundtrack of the project. Sound Assistant

Visual Effects
Work in Visual Effects (VFX) is part of the live action process, enhancing shot footage with new images and elements to create scenes that can’t be filmed in real life. As part of the post- production workflow, visual effects artists work under deadline and often their work is shared across many different suppliers.

Office Production Assistant (Entry Level)

Music
The Music Department encompasses composition, music editing, music supervision, and all other supporting roles relative to the music used in the picture.

Finishing
Responsible (from a post facility perspective) for multiple facets of the post production process often including Dailies Processing (see separate item), offline/creative editorial, online picture finishing (conform, color correction, titling, sound layback, VFX insertion), mastering, QC, and Duplication or Distribution.
