Film Commission, Unions Guilds & Industry Leaders
Participants will be introduced to key unions in the BC film industry gaining an understanding of the roles and departments under their representation. They will learn about various positions across departments in production and post-production, and the importance of union membership.
Intersections Media Opportunities for Youth Society works closely with a wide range of industry leaders who provide hands-on training, mentorship, access to equipment and studios, certifications, and direct pathways to employment in film and digital media. These partnerships enhance participant outcomes and ensure industry alignment.

Creative BC is an economic development agency supporting B.C.’s creative sector to reach its economic, social, environmental, and creative potential at home and globally.

IATSE Local 891
IATSE Local 891 supports all genres of production at all budget levels and have made some of the biggest feature films and some of the longest running and most successful television series ever screened. Each department of Local represents a particular entertainment industry trade or craft.

The ICG 669 membership is involved in all aspects of film and television that pertain to the Camera. Directors of Photography, Camera Operators, Camera Assistants, Unit Publicists, Unit Still Photographers, Electronic Camera people, Video Assist, Digital
Engineers and Technicians, Data Management Technicians and Camera Trainees in all phases of theatrical feature films, films for television release, internet and television series productions.
